We have a very picky cat. She refuses to play with anything or with anybody. She would rather sit and sulk, thinking that you should feel guilty that she must endure you. We have tried many toys and spent many dollars trying to get her interested in something, even playing with yarn and boxes – a sure winner with other cats that we have had.
We stumbled on this at a local pet shop and decided to try it. Our cat was immediately interested and LOVES this toy. It releases a mild “squeek” when bumped or thrown (it must have a small battery buried somewhere inside), but it isn’t obnoxious.
After several weeks she still enjoys it and we enjoy watching her play for a change. The other toys are still around and she still isn’t interested in them, but this is the best.
Sometimes the entire family is looking for the mouse if it gets misplaced or is “chased”under the couch.
This has really taken the “grouch” out of our cat.

I have two very active young cats and this mouse has saved my furniture! They pick the mouse up in their mouths and run all over the apartment. It is so cute to watch them play wild hunters! It is a tough toy too. My boys have dumped it a hundred times in their water bowl and the poor thing continues working after I dry it with the blow dryer. It is so real that the cats are sure that they are dealing with a mouse. The little squeak it makes makes me feel sorry for the mouse as it were alive, imagine! Well, it is so much fun that we put it away to give the cats a break. We bought a new one because our Leo hid his mouse and now can’t remember where it is and cries all over the home looking for it. I strongly recommend this toy and want to take the opportunity to congratulate its inventors.

I was afraid this wouldn’t go over well with my Tornado and Tsunami. However, they appeared to be bored too much in my opinion and I figured why not give it a try. For the first few minutes with it, they were really confused as they had never seen a mouse before. However, after a few minutes, they were going after it crazily and did so for more than a few weeks until it got caught under the stove. If your cats appear bored and you have a few bucks to spare, give it a chance! Just make sure to block the little space underneath the stove or other hard to move appliances!

I bought two of these. One didn’t work when I got it….. works very intermittently. The other works fine. I have two 4-month old, VERY active kittens. They like the toy when I throw it around. It gets their attention, but they don’t really play with it. They prefer the Our Pets Play-N-Squeak, Roll-N-Squeak. That one I have had for some time, & it works great for two kittens playing together.

I give it five stars for cat appeal but one star for durability. I bought two of these and a chirping bird toy. Three cats were in love at first squeak. Within 48 hours the squeaker was ripped from one mouse and in another 48 hours the squeaker is dead in the other. The bird is still chirping. I think these toys are kind of pricey to be broken already. These are supposed to be cat toys so perhaps they should be designed to last a little longer when a cat gets its paws on them.
