The CatGenie Washable Granules will never need replacement but you will need to add additional granules when the level of the granules fall below the line on the bowl. On average you will need to add a few cups a month and a box of granules should last between 4-6 months depending on the number of cats that use the CatGenie. The plastic in the CatGenie Washable Granules has been specially formulated to completely biodegrade in your sewer or septic system in about 9 months or less.

i am sad this stuff works good the only thing is it was open when i recieved it and i have granules all over the place

Cat Genie Granules work just fine. Better than sifting out cat litter. And they are biodegradeable therefore better for the environment.

Hi, using these in a CatGenie, they are reusable, only need replishement, not replacement like litter. They don’t hurt your bare feet when stepped on like litter does. They are biodegradable as is all CatGenie products. The only thing about them I don’t like is that they do get stuck in the cat’s fur when they scratch the granules and do tend to stick you your feet or shoes when stepped on. But it doesn’t hurt!

If anyone has more than 1 cat, this rig is a must. It has really made our lives easy. Of course, the review is about the granules but they go with the litter box which is an investment – but what an investment! These granules are bio-degradable which is great!! One of my cats tends to scatter the litter with gusto so we sweep it up and flush it down. The only thing I would like to change is the washing liquid that cleans and disinfects the litter. Wish it didn’t have such a strong perfumey smell. ALL IN ALL A GREAT STEP FOR CATS & MANKIND!!!CatGenie GenieDome
